The very first 3D fashion magazine hit the news stands today, with Grazia taking fashion into the next dimension. Unfortunately, the overall opinion on the fashion desk...‘so what’.
I have to say Grazia is my favourite weekly fashion mag with a great mix of high-end and high street, and there's even some good investigative journalism thrown in. But this new concept wasn't as earth shattering as billed.
You need an iPhone to get the full 3D experience, holding it over the pages as you read, but once we finally figured this out, we just didn’t care. It seems everything has to turn 3D at the moment, films, TV even catwalk shows - just for the sake of being 3D.
Dept fashion editor Carola summed it up: "fashion magazines should not have to come with instructions".
Nice idea and all, but just not worth the effort.
